How to read an Elavon merchant statement
Elavon's published statement guide (UK edition, in GBP; US layouts may differ) opens with a Transactions Summary (sales count and value: 6,451 sales, £213,266.12 in the sample) and a Fees Summary: Card Fees, Activity Fees, Other Fees and Total Fees (£1,538.82).
- Card Fees: volume, item count, discount rate and per-item rate by card type (the "MSC fee").
- Other Fees: in the sample, a PCI non-compliance fee, a monthly PCI fee and terminal rental fees (GPRS, Bluetooth, WiFi terminals).
- Rebates: some plans show rebates and a "missed rebate" figure.
Check terminal rentals against devices you actually use, and remove PCI non-compliance by validating. See the PCI guide.
