How to read a Fiserv (First Data) / Clover merchant statement
Clover merchants get their monthly statement in the Clover dashboard (Settings → Billing & statements → Monthly statements); only the account owner can see it, and history goes back up to seven years.
Key sections (Fiserv sample)
- Summary: "Total Amount Submitted" ($39,455.62 in the sample), "Fees" (−$1,361.31) and "Total Amount Processed" ($38,094.31). Fees are deducted, so processed = submitted − fees.
- Fees → Transaction Fees: in the sample, "Swiped discount $38,221.48 at .0185" and "Non swiped discount at .0285" plus $0.15 per transaction. That's a bundled swiped / non-swiped plan.
- Account Fees: items like a paper statement fee ($5.95 in the sample) and add-ons like "Clover Security plus monthly" ($14.95).
